The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green
Building Rating System, developed by the
U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), provides a suite of standards for
environmentally sustainable construction. Since its inception in 1998, LEED has
grown to encompass more than 14,000 projects in 50 US States and 30 countries
covering 1.062 billion square feet of development area.
In keeping with our commitment to sustainable
design, Caulfield
& Wheeler Inc. has kept pace by adding LEED AP’s to our team to accommodate the
needs of owners to cut energy cost and water consumption and provide for a
better environment for tomorrow. Accredited by the USGBC the LEED AP’s role is
to direct the design and construction process through the forward thinking
design ideas. Ideas that help companies increase production through employee
health and comfort and benefit a company’s bottom line through energy efficient
buildings, reduced water consumption and or treatment and reduced
maintenance cost over the life of the building and site.
